THE MUSIC

Earl Diamond was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As the middle child of 6,  he began playing drums at the tender age of five; that continued until his early 20’s when he gained an interest in the guitar.  The challenge was enticing but so was the additional avenue for provision.  Since people said it couldn’t be done, he pushed harder to learn.  On occasion the guitar would end up under the bed due to frustration, just to be retrieved again with determination. To him, playing music was freedom; he was free from stress, free from worries and he found when his mind was free, inspiration can hit at any time.

Earl Diamond's favorite artists include the likes of BB King, George Benson, George Duke, Wayman Tisdale, Norman Brown, Wes Montgomery and others.  His style is a combination of gospel, blues and all that he loves.  He’s not trying to play like anyone else, but he competes with himself to be the best he can be.  Diamond, much like his name, has some rough edges, but don’t be fooled… this Diamond is a jewel.
